The End is Near

Sorry I have not posted lately. The end of term is very busy, but I know that is no excuse. Even so, the last week has been wonderful. It started with my birthday last weekend. Thanks to all of you who sent me cards and emails. I loved reading them. On Saturday morning John made me a fabulous breakfast. We spent most of the day walking around Oxford in the sunshine! We went to Magdalen College, where CS Lewis taught. The grounds and buildings were beautiful, but they are quite strict with people walking around their college and exploring. Even with a Bodleian card there are limitations. John picked out a very pretty pair of earrings for me from an antique store in Oxford. He did a great job! On Sunday check his blog for exciting news about crew races in England. They are sure into them! www.jrsowash.blogspot.com It was a great event to experience.

Right now I am finishing up my last long essay for the term. After turning in that one and another short one on Tuesday, I will be done with college! Hard to believe.
I am absolutely thrilled for Thursday when my parents, my brother Peter, and my best friend Lauren will be flying into England. John and I are going to take them on an Oxford tour to show them our life here for the past three and half months. Following that, we are all going on a train trip around England visiting the Northern Lake District, Newcastle, York, and finally ending in London for a city tour. We return home on the 26th of April. Whew.
